26th – 27th September 2010
Hi crew, thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for our 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions here on just about every surfers favorite holiday destination of Bali.
Well I tell ya’s it’s been an internet night mare for me over the last couple of days, and this report is coming live to ya’s from infront of the Circle K mini mart here in Tuban (hot spot).
Yesterday the 26th the boys and I made the trek down to Uluwatu on the southern end of the island. After checking conditions here on the Outer Reefs to only see 1-2 footers breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left it was a unanimous decision to hit Ulu. As ya’s can see there were some nice waves hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections on the incoming tide. Crowd wise it was a little crazy with around 75+ surfers spread between Temple’s and the Peak. I’m pretty sure there would have been a few screamers bending down the Racetrack on the late afternoon low tide.
Today the 27th and knowing that wave height was only going to be smaller again and the numbers at Uluwatu more than likely to be higher. So I had the boys up early and on our way to Balian at 4.45AM. Arriving to find 1 surfer in the water with wave height coming through in the head to double head high range. Clean surfing conditions through until 10.45AM before the ESE Tradewind started to blow cross-shore. The number of crew staying up in that area was nice and low with the crowd peaking at 20 surfers. No photos from me today as I was busy getting my share of the waves.
Weather wise there’s been nothing but blue sky and sunshine here in Bali today. Temperature wise it was a very warm to hot 33 degree’s Celsius along the beach.
Swell Predictions for the next week are not looking real good. Tuesday wave height should remain similar to today’s size then it’s all down hill from there on. Next Saturday see’s another weak swell arriving pushing wave height back into the head high range. Then further out around the following Wednesday see’s another weak but slightly more promising pulse starting.
