****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on everyone’s favorite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf recon on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban were showing just the slightest of decrease in wave height, or consistency anyway. Still plenty of waves on all sections between Kuta Reef and Airport Right. Ranging between chest to well over head and the wind coming lightly out of the North.
By the time we made the trek down to Balangan the rain had let up and the wind was now just just starting to swing back to the E – ESE. As ya’s can see in today’s gallery wave height was a pretty consistent head to well over head high. Crowd wise there would have been at least 45 surfers spread between the point and the middle section. No shortage of surf schools again today at Balangan either. One group of 8, all on their soft top mini mals actually tried to paddle out towards the middle section (where the experienced surfers were surfing) but luckily they all couldn’t get through the 1 foot foamies that kept them marking time.
I think the swell forecasts are calling for smaller waves again tomorrow but we’ll do our best to find some for ya’s 🙂
Tidal info for today had us down for a 2.1mtr High @ 10.30AM and then running out for a 0.4mtr LOw around the 4.00PM mark.
Weather wise around this part of the island it’s been a mixture of heavy rain through the early morning then clearing away for a mainly hot and humid afternoon. Big chance we’ll see more rain later tonight.
Alim’s Medewi surf report was calling wave height to be still holding in the chest to over head range. Good clean conditions through until lunch time with around 20 surfers scattered down the line.
This mornings news from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be still a solid head to double head high plus hitting Money Tree’s. The Launching Pad was smaller in the head to head high plus range with 4 people in the water.
