****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE
Hello surfers and welcome to the weekend on baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions here on everybody’s favorite surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Well Saturday was pretty ordinary with on-shore wind and overcast conditions to start off the morning. But by early afternoon the wind had swung back around to the ESE – SE and off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu. I called a lay day and made plans for this morning to head up to Canggu just as the tide was pushing in.
With the mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs showing waist to head high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the wind light on-shore out of the NNW. Just with that info we knew Canggu was a fair call. And as it shows in todays photos I shot there were some nice waves breaking out on the left hand reef straight out front of the cafe’s in the head to well over head range. The sand bar also had set waves well over head. While the right hander in front of the river mouth was producing pretty much the same size.
Surfing conditions at Canggu early this morning were clean off-shore before the wind started to swing to the West around 10.30am. Even though it was still pretty damn clean.
Tidal info for today had a 2.1mtr High @ 12.00 noon and then she’ll be running out for a 0.3mtr Low around 5.30PM.
Weather wise it’s been mainly hot and sunny with some patches of cloud. Tempreature wise around 30 degree’s Celsius.
Sms text surf report from the good guys at the G-Land Surf Camp was saying that there were some clean head to double head high waves breaking from Kongs down through Money Tree’s to the Launching Pad. Only 3 surfers in the water at 9.00AM. Could be an excellent time to catch a few un crowded waves over in G-Land.
