****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves.com for our “1 click” run down on todays surfing and weather conditions here on the 1 stop surf, fun and sun holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking too attractive with the wind coming hard out of the WNW @ 9 – 12knot+ and only 1-2ft of wind driven swell breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With that info you can count out the West Coast for wave hunting, unless of course you wanted to surf in uncrowded on-shore Uluwatu. The South East end of the island would have the best chance of a wave, locations like Green Bowls, Nusa Dua and maybe even Serangan for cleaner conditions.
Tidal info today has us down for a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00AM then filling in with a 2.1mtr medium High @ 12.30PM. Then finishing off the day with another Low of 0.4mtr’s around 6.30PM.
Weather wise the day kicked off with some early morning heavy rain and then cleared up for a nice clear dawn. Currently now at 10.00AM it’s mainly sunny but with some dark clouds both to the North and South of Tuban. Temperature wise we can still expect it to be a warm to hot 29 degree’s Celsius.
Swell situation for the next week isn’t looking too bad once we get through today and Tuesday. Hopefully by mid morning on Wednesday we’ll see the start of our next swell that should push the tempo back into the double head high plus range at the right locations. By Friday wave height will be back around the chest to head high class and then another slightly smaller swell to take us through next weekend.
Sms text surf report from the crew over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to have backed off down into the chest to head high plus region. Kong’s and Money Tree’s picking up the small SW swell. Looking good for another afternoon session through the top of the tide. Could also be an excellent time to catch a few un crowded waves over in G-Land.
