****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for our 1 click run down with the latest news on surfing conditions. Not too mention the photos, from here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs wasn’t looking too promising with only knee to chest high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. We were hoping for a little more energy out there this morning so we could make a dash for Bingin on the Low tide. But not too be, so we had to settle for a little Uluwatu action instead.
Arriving at Ulu around 8.00AM to find wave height breaking on the Main Peak to Racetrack in the chest to head high plus range. Surfing conditions were clean and tidy with the wind blowing off-shore out of the East. As the tide pushed in there were a few double head high waves on the Peak. By midday there would have been close to 75 surfers spread between Temple’s and the Peak but still plenty of waves coming through. We packed up at 2.00PM to try and avoid the afternoon traffic… but with dropping numbers left in the water and good signs for the Afternoon Racetrack session.
Tidal info for today had a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.00AM then filling back in with a 2.1mtr High around noon. Finishing off the day with another Low of 0.4mtrs around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise it’s been pretty much just blue sky and sunshine here on the holiday island with a midday max temperature of around 32 degree’s Celisus along the beach.
This mornings sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling head to well over head waves hitting Kong’s and the top end of Money Tree’s. At 7.00AM there were 2 surfers in the water just waiting for the wind to swing off-shore !
