****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for today’s 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little holiday island of surf, sun and fun called Bali.
Well you can’t say we didn’t try. Even though this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was still only showing waves in the ankle to knee high plus range, we still decided on taking the morning run down to Uluwatu. Pulling in at the car park at 7.30AM to see waist to shoulder high set waves breaking between Temple’s and the Main Peak. Only a handful of hardy surfers in the water at the time with clean and glassy surfing conditions. We hung out until midday the waves did improve a little with the incoming tide but the wind also kinda shifted more to the SSE and a little cross shore @ 2-4knot..
Tidal info for today had a 0.4mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then running back up with a 1.7mtr High around the 2.00PM mark.
Weather wise as you can see in the wide angle shots today it was basically cloudy with patches of sun shine. Temperature wise she would have peaked around 29 degree’s Celsius.
More small waves again around Bali tomorrow, but at least we should see some relief by Sunday afternoon with a new swell. This should get us through Monday before dying out. No hope from Tuesday through til next Friday at least….
This mornings sms surf report from the G-Land Surf Camp was also saying that wave height had dropped down into the waist to head high range on Kong’s. Clean and glassy conditions with no surfers in the water at 7.45AM

We’ve all heard by now about the recent Tsunami that hit some of the Mentawai islands including the Macaronis Surf Resort (check out their website for more news from Maca’s). Most of the people affected were doing it tough enough with out the added disaster of being engulfed by a Tsunami in the middle of the night. A big thanks to the surf charter boats who immediately started taking relief supplies into the affected areas. But in order to help, it all takes money, and that’s where the good people at Surf Aid International come in.
To find out how you guys can help check out their website www.surfaidinternational.org
Surf Report Archives; You know if you look above the photos on this report you will see Bali listed with the other surf report locations. If you click on Bali then when the page opens you can see every report (and photos) that has been filed from years back. A good way to get an idea of what you might get through all of Bali’s surfing calendar.
If any of you out there are already here in Bali maybe now is a good time to try some Balinese style sport fishing. There’s been some solid schools of GT’s and Tuna busting up the surface and Spanish Mackerel jumping. If your up to it just contact me and I’ll hook you up with the best fishermen in Bali.
