****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks again for stopping by the baliwaves (since ’99) for today’s 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on everybody’s favorite surfing holiday destination, Bali.
Well I’ve already forgotten how many days it’s been since we had some over head waves, something like day 12 maybe. This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was again only showing half to one footers lapping onto the reef between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Nothing surfable out there this morning and no surfers in sight.
Surfing conditions couldn’t be any better though with the wind coming lightly out of the E – NE @ 2-4knot. Pretty much straight off-shore between Legian and Uluwatu.
Looking for a wave today your going to be hard pressed to find anything bigger than waist to waist high plus, and that would be down at Uluwatu. But the charts are looking good for some waves to start showing anytime within the next 24 – 36hrs and that should put the smiles back on.
Rip Curl Indonesia have a big weekend planned starting today with the final contest of the year. The event is being held down at “Half Way” Kuta beach and is going to be a big show. This one will decide this years ISC champion. So if your on island at the moment make sure you get down there and support the crew. I’ll be heading down after lunch to check it out.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 0.4mtr Low around the 8.30AM mark and then running back in for a 1.8mtr High @ 3.00PM.
Weather wise outside we’ve got another perfect beach day shaping up with tonnes of blue sky and sunshine.
Don’t forget if anyone is interested in doing some effective advertising on Bali’s biggest surfing website (baliwaves.com) that for a special 3 month trial period we’ll give you over 30,000 views per month for as little as US$100.00 per month. Try us out and you’ll see for yourself, we can help promote your business.
If any of you out there are already here in Bali maybe now is a good time to try some Balinese style sport fishing. There’s been some solid schools of GT’s and Tuna busting up the surface and Spanish Mackerel jumping. If your up to it just contact me and I’ll hook you up with the best fishermen in Bali.
