****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com for our 1 click run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 holiday destination if it’s surf sun and fun your looking for.
As expected this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking too hot. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left once again only just lapping onto the reef in the ankle to knee high plus sector. Using this as my surf indicator for other locations around Bali it’s telling me that at tops the best locations will only be producing waves in the knee to waist high plus range. Maybe waist to chest high plus down at Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions are clean as a whistle here along Bali’s Premier West Coast. Earlier we had a light NE wind but now at 10.30AM it has swung more to the ENE – E. Blowing straight off-shore between Kuta and Uluwatu.
Tidal info had us down for a 1.8mtr High @ 9.00AM and then running out for a 0.6mtr Low around 2.30PM.
Weather wise around this part of the island no rain has fallen through the early AM but we do have a blanket of high and light cloud over us. Even though we’ll still be in for another warm and humid one with a top temperature of around 27 – 29 degree’s Celsius.
Swell forecasts for this part of the World over the next 7 days are looking grim. No new swell on the radar at this stage.
If any of you out there are already here in Bali maybe now is a good time to try some Balinese style sport fishing. There’s been some solid schools of GT’s and Tuna busting up the surface and Spanish Mackerel jumping. If your up to it just contact me and I’ll hook you up with the best fishermen in Bali.
I’ll check out the dollar exchange rates and let you know what’s happening on that scene later on.
Special accommodation / surfing package available for the month of November.
Air conditioned room with hot and cold water, surfers breakfast, transport to the best waves to suit each morning. Photographer to capture every wave you catch included for Rp575,000 per person per day. That’s around AU$60.00 per person per day. Just contact us to take advantage of this deal.
We’ve all heard by now about the recent Tsunami that hit some of the Mentawai islands including the Macaronis Surf Resort (check out their website for more news from Maca’s). Most of the people affected were doing it tough enough with out the added disaster of being engulfed by a Tsunami in the middle of the night. A big thanks to the surf charter boats who imedietly started taking relief supplies into the affected areas. But in order to help, it all takes money, and that’s where the good people at Surf Aid International come in.
To find out how you guys can help check out their website www.surfaidinternational.org
Surf Aid International has been officaially appointed relief coordinators by the Indonesian Government.
