****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for surfing dollar holiday destination of Bali.
Well as expected with our current wave crisis I took the day off and went out fishing with my local crew. I pushed my boat off the beach at 11.00AM, just around the top of the tide. There wasn’t anything at all breaking on the Outer Reefs between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. But I did see a couple of freak sets break around on Airport Right in the waist high range. We didn’t really need to go any further south as that’s where we found the big schools of Giant Trevaly.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer’s with the tide on the bottom of 0.1mtr Low was showing some small waves out on Middle Reef in the thigh to waist high plus region. There was already 2 surfers out there at the time. Nothing happening on Kuta Reef or at Airports with most of the reef still exposed.
Ketut is going to take a run down to Uluwatu with the camera equipment and see if he can shoot us some new photos from a couple of different locations down that way. Me I’ll be out hunting Trevaly again with the crew from Tuban. So if you get a chance call back in later this evening.
Surfing conditions are clean and tidy here along Bali’s West Coast with the wind coming out of the ESE @ 5-9knot.
Tidal info for the record had a 0.1mtr Low @ 6.30AM then filling back in with a 1.9mtr High around midday and finishing off the day with another Low of 0.6mtrs @ 6.00PM.
Weather wise we have some solid cloud cover and have already had a few drops of rain. Looking out to the East there is some blue sky starting to show so I’d say it’s going to be just another hot and humid day at the beach for the holiday crew.
If any of you out there are already here in Bali maybe now is a good time to try some Balinese style sport fishing. There’s been some solid schools of GT’s and Tuna busting up the surface and Spanish Mackerel jumping. If your up to it just contact me and I’ll hook you up with the best fishermen in Bali.
