****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
G’day folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (since ’99) for todays run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the without a doubt best bet surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Good news for you again (if your here in Bali that is) with this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs showing wave height up in the head to almost double head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the high tide peaking at 1.6mtrs at 7.30AM Kuta Reef was producing the best waves with chest to head high plus set waves peeling off for a good 80+mtrs. Airport Left another of the high tide breaks also had plenty of waves in the similar size as KR. It would also be a safe call to say that around the other side of the airport runway Airport Right would also have some nice one’s while the wind is still light. Middle Reef as always was picking up more size and getting close to the double head high mark. Middle’s is at it’s best on the lower end of the tide so towards midday should be firing.
Ketut has taken the camera equipment and headed south to see what he can find for ya’s down on the southern end of the island. So if you get time call back in this afternoon before you knock off.
Surfing conditions are as good as they get with the wind coming lightly out of the East @ 2-4knot. But will mkore than likely swing a little more around to the ESE – SE and increase in strength by midday.
The next tide will be a 0.7mtr Low around 1.30PM
Weather wise in the shade or the water is going to be the best place today. More hot and sunny weather coming on with an expected top temperature of at least 34 degree’s Celsius. With the water temperature a very comfortable 22 degree’s Celsius.
More news on the shark attack that happened up at Balian earlier this week from one of the attacked surfers friends was saying that. “The damage was to his hand and required 3 tendons to be reattached, 100 stitches and 4 hours of micro surgery! To top it all off he had to make a 20 minute paddle back to shore with his hand falling apart. He should be alright but only time will tell. The doctors have told him that he will have zero feeling in his hand for at least 6months anyways.” The weird thing is that this is the first recorded shark attack here in Bali but you try finding any other reports of it in any newspaper or on the internet ?
