****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello to everyone that’s tuning into the baliwaves.com (’99) for the Sunday Session, I’m sure it’s not just Monday to Friday that surfers have Bali on their mind. So here’s the latest on surfing and weather conditions from the real surfer’s paradise holiday island of Bali.
Ok so this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was in fact showing a little more energy with knee to chest high waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. That was while the tide was just starting to run back in. Wind direction was coming out of the North at 2-4knot so my first choice was to head up to Canggu for a look. As today’s photo gallery confirms there was some nice waves breaking on all of the 3 main sections. The left hand reef out the front of the cafe’s had some smoking barrels. The left hand sandbar section was also dredging up some punchy sections. And the right hander in front of the river mouth was doing it’s normal thing. Wave height was coming through consistently in the head to well over head class. Crowd wise there would have been around 75 surfers spread over the 3 different sections.
Surfing conditions at Canggu this morning were clean and glassy through until around 9.45AM when the wind started to swing more to the West. But even though when we packed up at 11.00AM there were still plenty of waves to be had.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 1.8mtr High @ 10.30AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark.
Weather wise, we had some relief from the sun today with an overcast sky. Even so temperature wise it would have still been a warm to hot 29 – 31 degree’s celsius at the beach.
Ok then that’s us for this weekend but get ready for another week full of Baliwaves starting tomorrow, if’s there’s waves we’ll be there !
