****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hello crew and time to bring you all up to date on whats been happening surf and weather wise here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
Yesterday the 21st was a total wash out, and I do mean wash out. Not a good day for camera’s with heavy rain through out the day. This morning the 22nd and things are looking way better, weather wise anyway.
Early this morning there was still some rain about with the wind coming out of the W-SW @ 3-6knot. But when I made it down for a surf check on the Outer Reefs around 9.00AM the wind had swung back to the WNW, still around the 3-6knot class. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left was showing in the knee to chest high class but not looking too attractive for a paddle. If I didn’t have to go into the Australian Embassy this morning to get my daughters Citizenship Certificate I’d be heading up to Canggu for a look at the waves. But first things first right. I’d say there would be a few waves for the boys and girls at Canggu in the waist to head high range. And of course you’d also be able to find a wave back over on the East Coast somewhere between Green Bowls and Keramas.
Weather wise it has cleared up from this morning and now at 10.30AM we have some patches of blue sky. Still plenty of cloud up there as well and always the chance of a late afternoon shower. Also on the weather front there appears to be a tropical cyclone or tropical depression forming off the coast of NW Australia over the next few days. Looks like we could be in for some strong wind starting soon.
Ok folks I know everyone is shutting down for the Christmas break at the moment. Baliwaves.com would like to wish all of our supporters a fantastic Christmas 2010 and a smooth and successful year in 2011. Peace, harmony and contentment to all !
