2nd December 2010 ****AFTERNOON UP-DATE**** Just a quicky with a few pics we snapped after lunch over at Nusa Dua and at Sri-Lanka’s. Nusa Dua was still picking up a bit of swell with wave height in the head to over head range. The wind was already cross/on-shore by the time we arrived. Quite a few surfers in the water and bodies laying on the beach. Sri-Lanka’s was pretty small with waist high sets at best, cleaner surfing conditions, 3 surfers.
****MORNING SURF UP-DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (since ’99) for todays 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on every sane surfers favorite surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Well this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be only dribbling onto the reef between Kuta Reef and Airport Left in the knee to knee high plus class. And with the wind coming out of the WNW @ 3-6knot I don’t think you’d be finding too many waves anywhere along Bali’s West Coast. The East Coast however would be providing some clean waves with more size on offer. Best locations would be at Nusa Dua, Serangan and Keramas. We’ll be going for a look over there after lunch so if you want to see whats happening over there tune in again later this afternoon.
The next tide is going to be a Low around midday and then a late afternoon high around the 6.00PM mark.
Weather wise we have had more rain through the night and early AM. Currently now at 9.45Am we have a mainly blue sky with some thin cloud. Temperature wise we can expect another warm and humid day with the chance of an afternoon / evening shower.
We’ll also take a look at the dollar exchange rates later on and let you know how your holiday dollar is doing. Also it’s a bummer now in regards to down loading free music off the internet with the USA blocking most free sites. If anyone still has a site or two they can recommend drop us a line. Or otherwise it’s back to buying 60 cent CD copies.
Ok folks have a good one and we’ll be back later this afternoon with another up-date from the real surfers paradise, Bali.
