****MIDDAY SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to the baliwaves.com (’99). We’ve got a big week of surf missions and photo sessions planned so stay tuned and we’ll keep you up to date with the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing another little nudge in wave height. It was looking ok (after so long) between Kuta Reef and Airports with waist to almost head high waves. Airport Left had a few surfers in the water with wasit to almost shoulder high waves. Middle Reef was still a bit too full with the early morning high tide, but still ok little waves in the waist shoulder high region. Second Reef (just outside of Kuta Reef) also had a few left handers peeling off in the waist to shoulder high plus range.
But as today’s photo gallery shows Canggu was a way better option for a paddle this morning. Wave height up there was showing better with consistent waist to head high waves breaking on all 3 of the main sections. At the time of our session there was around 50+ surfers spread over the 3.
Surfing conditions this morning were clean as silk, with no wind at all through until a light Northly appeared. Before turning W-NW by late morning, it’s still only light now at 12 noon.
Tidal info today had us down for a 0.4mtr High @ 9.00AM and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High around 3.30PM.
Weather wise we’ve had a perfect morning with mainly blue sky and a little bit of scattered thin cloud. Our midday temperature would be floating around the 29 – 30 degree Celsius mark. But there is some cloud starting to build up looking towards the North, with a chance af a late afternoon / evening shower.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find that — 1AU$=Rp8,870 — 1US$=Rp8,900 — Rates will vary from vendor to vendor.
We’ve also been playing around with our “locations” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
This weeks wave forecast doesn’t look too bad and should produce waves from head high right through into the solid sector. Hopefully the early morning glass sessions will continue, so stay tuned and see what happens.
