****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves (since ’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the always in season surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Another one knocked over and now the last month of 2010, I don’t know about you but it sure has flown by for I. This mornings 8.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban hadn’t changed much from yesterdays 1-2ft+ waves between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Except for the wind that was coming more out of the WNW instead of yesterdays strong SSW wind. I tried to hold back Ketut for as long as I could before letting him head back over to Serangan to shoot some more photos (sun on back = better photos). As we can see wave height has increased over on the East Coast with some set waves pushing the double head high range. Not too bad with the crowd ranging between 30 – 40 surfers. Hopefully there will still be a few out there for us again tomorrow.
Surfing conditions over at Serangan were clean with straight off-shore wind before turning cross / off-shore around the 2.30PM mark.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.7mtr Low around 11.00AM and then running back in with a 1.9mtr High around 5.30PM
Weather wise the day kicked off with a bang. Heavy thunder and lightning through the early AM with the rain finally letting up around 8.30AM. Hot and humid through the rest of the day. Temperature wise it would have peaked between 30 – 32 degree’s Celsius.
