****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (since 1999) for today’s 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Ok, so this mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was not showing anything at all breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the tide just approaching the top of a 1.6mtr High tide and the wind virtually non existent. As it shows in today’s photo gallery we took a drive over to Serangan (East Coast). By the time we made it the wind had turned more to the North and increased to around the 5-7knot range. Wave height over here was coming though in at just slightly over head. Not too many surfers in the water with only 6-10 surfers riding the main section and another 20-30 scattered back towards the harbor. I’d have to imagine there would have been some nice waves at Nusa Dua through the early morning. Normally it’s Nusa Dua’s reef that attracts the lions share of the swell on the East Coast. Not too worry we’ll be getting up early tomorrow morning and hopefully catch a few good one’s.
Just for the record our tidal info for today had us down for a 1.6mtr High @ 8.00AM and then running out for a 0.8mtr Low around the 1.30PM mark.
Weather wise it’s been just a straight out hot and sunny day. Temperature wise over at Serangan out of the shade it must have been somewhere around the 34 degree Celsius mark.
Hopefully tomorrow we might feel a slight bump in wave height before getting smaller on Sunday and then gradually disappear early next week. So you better stay in touch with the baliwaves through out the weekend if you want to stay up to date on Bali.
