****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves for todays Sunday Session with our 1 click run down on surfing and weather conditions here on No. surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Well yesterday here in Bali was a real shocker weather wise. From sun up til sun down we had a howling 20 – 30knot+ Westerley with on and off again rain. All reports I received was to more less stay at home, and that’s what we did.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was still showing some little wind blown waves in the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Pretty much not worth the effort along the West Coast of Bali with the strong WNW – W wind gusting up to 15knot. So we decided on heading over to Keramas on the East Side to see if we could find some action. As you can see in today’s photo gallery wave height was coming through in the solid chest to well over head range. Surfing conditions were as clean as a whistle through until around midday, turning a little cross shore when the wind turned more to the straight West. Pretty much the normal numbers in the water ranging between 10 – 20+ surfers.
I also had a 8.30AM sms surf report come through from Leo @ bali surf tours saying that Serangan was breaking nicely with wave height a consistent head to well over head. No news on numbers in the water but it’d be a safe bet to say, a lot.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 1.4mtr High @ 8.00AM and then running out for a 1.0mtr Low around 1.00PM.
Weather wise we have had some rain today through mid morning and then a hot and humid midday. Right now at 5.00PM we still have a mainly blue sky but with a big chance of more rain to fall through the night.
If you haven’t already checked out the promo from Eat, Sleep & Surf about the two guys touring all of Indonesia’s best surfing locations on bicycle’s make sure you do. What a trip, if only I was that young and fit again….
