****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Howdy folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (’99) for our “1 click” run down on today’s surfing and weather information from the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height still in the knee to waist high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Not much happening on Kuta Reef but there was a couple of small waves on Airport left and Middle Reef. I’d also imagine that the early risers could have scored a wave or two down at Uluwatu.
Surfing conditions at the time were clean and glassy with only a light Northerly breeze @ 0-2knot.
As you’ve already seen in today’s photo gallery Ketut took another run up to Keramas and shot these photos between 08.00 – 10.00AM. Wave height had also dropped off a touch at K-Mas but still the odd head high freak set coming through. Surfing conditions here were also clean and glassy but with up to 40 surfers in the line up by 10.00AM.
Tidal info for today has a 1.9mtr High @ 11.00AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around 4.30PM.
Weather wise it was a fine and sunny morning, but there has been some cloud starting to build up from midday and there is a chance of some late afternoon rain. Temperature wise the mercury would have made it to 30 degree’s along the beach.
The next couple of days are not looking too promising for much swell but there is hope for this coming Saturday to provide a new swell and get us through the weekend.
I’ve been having a look through some of my old archived video footage again and have selected some more footage of Padang Padang (2005) plus some from Serangan (2005) showing her true colors. So I’ll try and get that edited and on line for you later this evening when I get back from the doctor.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.
We’ve also been playing around with our “Surf Spots” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
I’d also like to mention to anyone that’s interested in doing some advertising on Bali’s biggest surfing website (us) that for a special 3 month trial period we’ll give you between 30,000 to 40,000 banner views per month for as little as US$100.00 per month.
