****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from the always in season surfing holiday destination of beautiful Bali.
Ketut has put in a few miles for us over the last couple of days. As you may have noticed the first 19 photographs were shot at Canggu while conditions were calm and very tidy early yesterday morning. Some nice little waves ranging from waist to head high plus and only 10 – 15 surfers in the water at the time.
Ketut’s surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing wave height breaking in the waist to chest high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions through the early morning have been clean and glassy.
On the 16th Ketut headed off in virtually the opposite direction, back up to Keramas. As it looks in the last half a dozen photos wave height up at Keramas was fading fast and only breaking in the wasit to chest high region. Another small turn up of surfers with only 10 – 15 in the water at the time.
Weather wise Ketut say’s it’s still a mixed bag with some cloud cover but for the most of it the last two days have been hot and sunny.
Tidal information for today had a early morning 0.1mtr Low @ 5.00AM and then filling back in with a 2.1mtr High. Then another 0.5mtr Low to finish off the day around the 5.00PM mark.
Ok friends of Bali that’s about me for today, and me for this trip Down Under. My last trip to Australia was in 2009 but I have to say this has been my best visit yet. I managed to cover a lot of miles and catch up with a lot of old friends, some of which I hadn’t seen for 25+ years. There’s also a lot of good friends that I haven’t had time to catch up with, sorry about that crew. You lot know I’ll see you all over in Bali at some stage this year.
