****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s “1 click” run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only sane choice for a complete surfing and fun holiday package.
Just before we get into it I see the Aussie newspapers are pushing the rabies and Legenairs* thingo in Bali again. Typical as it’s starting to to get close to the Aussie surfers time to book their anuall Indo surf escape. Safer to stay at home in Oz, then you only have to worry about some one shooting or stabbing you, LOL. Now don’t take me too seriously on this ok as I won’t be answering any arguments on the subject. There’s always the paranoid and then, there’s those with common sense.
I’d also like to send our regards and thoughts to all our friends in NZ through this current disaster they are going through at the moment.
Ok this morning we managed a 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs but only to find the wind coming out of the SW and wave height way down in the 1-1ft+ range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. So with this info we decided on trekking back up to Keramas. Arriving at 9.15Am with the tide running in and wave height coming through in the waist to head high class. There were 30 surfers* in the water at Keramas but down at carparks there were also some nice little peaks coming through with only 2 surfers out, so that’s where the boys decided on.
Tomorrow we’ll be getting up nice and early for a little road trip to hopefully greener pastures. So expect my report and photos to be just a little bit later on getting on line ok.
But I’ll keep you posted through out the day with our “twitter” up dates.
Tidal info for today had us down for another similar range as yesterday with a 0.2mtr Low @ 7.00AM an then running back in with a 2.5mtr High around 1.00PM.
Weather wise it rained all through the night and there was still a few drops left over for sun up. Basically it’s been a cloudy and overcast day since but with out anymore rain falling. Temperature wise it was a nice 28 – 29 degree’s Celsius along the beach (East Coast).
Swell Prediction; Hopefully we should see the next spike in wave height kicking in this Friday. It’s showing some positive period at this point in time and should get us through the weekend.
