****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for tuning into the baliwaves.com (’99) for the Sunday Session and our 1 click run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the No.1 surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This morning’s surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to be still showing in the waist to head high region between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Nothing really worth surfing out there this morning as the wind was fresh out of the West at 6 – 10knot.
So with that information, knowing that there wasn’t going to be a lot of swell anywhere we headed back over to the sure thing of Keramas on Bali’s East Coast. As you have already seen in today’s photo gallery wave height at Kmas was also pretty small when we first arrived. The wind here was also pretty much on – shore coming out of the WSW by this time. But by mid to late morning there was definitely some bigger set waves starting to show, as forecasted.
Tomorrow the forecasters have called for more medium strength WSW wind but with maybe just a touch more size in the swell. So we’ll see what we can do to track down and post some of the best of what Bali has to offer, under these conditions of course.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.8mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then running back in for a 2.1mtr High around the 2.30PM mark.
Weather wise we had a mainly over cast type day with a few drops of rain falling through mid afternoon. Temperature wise the mercury was sitting on a comfortable 27 degree’s Celsius.
Baliwaves.com (Slim) took another surfboard up to Keramas last week to give to a lucky grommet this morning. So far in the last 16 or so years I think my personal and with the help of our supporters give away surfboard tally is around 70. So if you’ve got an old 5’8″ or anything up to 6’0″ bring it over for a deserving Balinese kid.
I’ll try and check out the exchange rates for you on tomorrow’s up date. Normally the exchangers lower their rates through the weekend with the bigger demand for Rupiah to party with.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.

Night club danger; New’s came through to me of an Australian having the shit kicked out of him by no less than 6 security staff in a Kuta night club. Aparantly the English owners of the bar gave the order to the security staff…. Carusos, Crusoes, (some name like that anyway) Bar in Kuta.
Best Regards in Surfing
