****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s 1 click round up on surfing and weather conditions from every surfers favorite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Yesterday the 7th of March and with a midday airport extraction and several phone through surf reports from our friends saying wave height was lucky to be in the knee to knee high plus class we called a lay day.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban was showing no improvement in wave size at all. Only half to one foot of swell breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. We really knew that no matter where we went searching for a wave this morning we were not going to be finding to much to get excited over. So we opted for the less crowded and quality shaped wave of Keramas.
As you’ve already seen in today’s photo gallery wave height was only averaging in the waist to shoulder high range but with only 10 – 18 surfers in the water while we were there for our two sessions. Surfing conditions on arrival were clean and glassy with just a touch of off shore breeze. But it wasn’t that much longer and the wind was changing direction to all points of the compass. Better than no waves that’s for sure and we are hoping for a slight boost in wave size for tomorrow.
I also bumped into one of the DIVERSE surfboards Team Rider while I was up at Keramas this morning. But this surfer hails from Thailand by the name of Man and was showing everyone that he can handle more than just the wind waves of his home land.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.2mtr Low @ 6.00AM, then flowing back in with a solid 2.6mtr High @ 12.00 noon. Finishing off the day with another reef exposing 0.2mtr Low @ 6.00PM.
Weather wise we did have a few drops of rain fall through the early AM then it’s just been mainly overcast with the odd sunny break for the remainder of the day. Temperature wise a pleasant 27 degree’s Celsius with the water temp almost matching @ 25 degree’s Celsius.
Leo from bali-surfing.com has also sent us through his sms surf report from Nusa Dua down towards the south eastern end of Bali. According to Leo wave height was a consistent waist to head high, “small but super fun”.
I’ll also up date you all on the swell predictions / forecast for Bali on my next up date. But I can tell you it’s starting to look good over here starting sometime around next Saturday.

Night club danger; New’s came through to me of an Australian having the shit kicked out of him by no less than 6 security staff in a Kuta night club on Friday night. Apparantly the English owners of the bar gave the order to the security staff…. Caruso’s Bar.
Best Regards in Surfing
