****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
A big hello to everyone tuning into the baliwaves.com (’99) this Easter Sunday and here’s the run down on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
First off, this mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to have dropped off a touch more over night. Around the waist to chest high size between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Clean and glassy surfing conditions with the wind barely detectable at the time.
We waited till the bottom of the Low tide had passed and then made our way up to Canggu and continue our wave hunt. As you have already seen in today’s photo gallery there was plenty of fun sized action happening. When we arrived the right hander in front of the creek was a consistent waist to head high and only 8 surfers on it. While the left hander on the sand bar had around 25 surfers and showing some good shape with the tide starting to run back in. While the left hand reef break out the front of the cafe’s also had some head high waves with something like 10 surfers on it. Surfing conditions at Canggu were clean and glassy for the most of it with the wind light and variable NW – SW while we were on location. And as per normal as he tide filled in towards late morning the number of surfers on the right hander almost hit 40.
Tidal wise we have just gone past the top of a 2.3mtr High @ 1.30PM
Weather wise @ 6.30AM this morning we had an outside temperature of 25 degree’s Celsius. Humidity level sitting @ 89% with the wind coming out of the North at 0km’s. Just another hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Right now @ 1.50PM we have 29 degree’s Celsius and the wind coming out of the East @ 19km’s. (weather info courtesy of Denpasar Airport).
Swell prediction department says we will be in for some solid nuggets of swell heading our way around this coming mid week, then another one not far behind the first. We may even see a little action at the ever famous Padang Padang, stay in touch.
