****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions here on the always a swell in transit surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs wasn’t looking real promising with another obvious drop in size. Wave height between Kuta Reef and Airport Left @ 6.30AM was only showing in the knee to waist high region. The wind direction was out of the North East @ 3kms.
So our choice of locations for a surf this morning was pretty well limited to the sure thing surfing arena of Uluwatu. Arriving @ 7.40AM to see small waves in the waist to shoulder high range and the tide just about on the bottom of the Low. The wind down at Uluwatu was light and variable before finally turning off shore from the East @ 11.00AM. As the tide started to push back in there was a few head high set waves hitting the Main Peak. Not too exciting in the wave department today and tomorrow isn’t looking a whole lot better either. But not too much longer to wait before the next new batch of waves arrives.
Tidal info for today had a 0.9mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then running back in for a 2.1mtr High @ 2.00PM
Weather wise today it was a mostly cloudy and over cast morning before the sun busted out towards mid morning. Temperature wise right now @ 3.45PM we have an outside temperature of 29 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity on 79%. The wind is out of the East @ 21kms. Could also be the chance of a late afternoon thunder storm.
The Aussie Dollar is rocking on and still floating around the 1AU$=Rp9,200 mark, give or take a few Rupiah.
I hope all you Aussies out there are having a good ANZAC DAY. My father was also an Australian WW2 Veteran who spent most of his service in the muddy jungle’s of Papua New Guinea. “Head em up”
We’ve also got some new surfing / accommodation packages sorted out for those of you who want nothing more to think about except surfing, at the right place at the right time. Hit this info link to find out more.
