****MIDDAY SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping into the baliwaves.com (’99) for today’s look at surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 6.30AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs of Tuban had wave height pegged in the waist to head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport left. With the wind coming out of the NW @ 4-6knot. Surfing conditions were not perfect with the cross on shore wind but there was still a few ridable waves on Middle Reef.
But we decided to take a run back over to the East Coast for another session at Serangan. Arriving around 7.00AM to find 2 surfers already in the water with wave height a consistent head to double head high on the bigger set waves. Surfing conditions here were clean as a whistle with the WNW wind providing straight off shore wind. We packed up around 9.30AM, coinciding with the usual arrival time of the masses. I’ve also heard a few other reports from other locations over on the East Coast and as one would expect there has been no shortage of perfect waves over the last few days.
Tidal info for today had a 1.1mtr Low @ 9.30AM and then filling back in with a 1.8mtr High around the 4.PM mark.
Weather wise there was a few drops of rain still about early this morning then clearing up for a mainly sunny day here on the holiday island.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.
We’ve also been playing around with our “Surf Spots” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
Best Regards in Surfing
