****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com (’99) for the Friday “arvo” surf and weather up date from here on the always in season surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a drop in size and wave height in the knee to waist high region, between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the ENE. So with that info we headed south back down to Bali’s Premier surfing location of Uluwatu.
Arriving at 7.25AM to see that it had also backed off a touch but still the odd over head sized set wave hitting the Main Peak. Only around 20 in the water at first between Temple’s and the top of the Track. The numbers did increase but not as many as the day before. Temple’s was also spinning off a few long rides and maybe even the Racetrack would have been tubing on the bottom of the tide.
Virtually only ripple’s breaking on the top end of Imposible’s and nothing happening at Padang Padang, as expected.
Tidal info for today had a 1.9mtr High @ 9.00AM and then running off for a 0.7mtr Low around 3.00PM.
Weather wise today it’s been mostly hot and sunny with the odd cloud blowing over. This afternoon has seen a bit more cloud build up with the possibility of and evening shower.
Our sms surf report from lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa was calling in a beautiful day for doing nothing. Blue sky, light off shore wind and knee to knee high plus waves on the Peak.
I’ve also noticed an email from our friends up in the Mentawai’s in my inbox, so I’ll get their latest info and pics on line for ya’s ASAP.
We’ve also got some new surfing / accommodation packages sorted out for those of you who want nothing more to think about except surfing, at the right place at the right time. Hit this info link to find out more.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.
We’ve also been playing around with our “Surf Spots” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
Best Regards in Surfing
