****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
How are ya’s and thanks for dropping by the baliwaves.com (’99) for the start of another surfing week and the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the by far best value for surfing holiday dollar destination of Bali.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was sadly enough showing wave height to be weakening. There was still some 1-3 footers (knee to head high) waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left but not with much gusto in em. At the time there were plenty of surfers, at least 20 already in the water on Middle Reef while the tide was still running out. Surfing conditions were clean with a slight off / cross shore North easter blowing at 6kms. The temperature sitting on 24 degree’s Celsius and the Humidity on 83%.
We hung out close by back at home base waiting for the wind to shift back to the ESE – SE and tidy it up a bit more. By the time we headed back down with our boards at 10.30AM it wasn’t looking to impressive with still only waist to head high sets breaking. Still there would have been around 20 surfers on Kuta Reef but I didn’t see any waves break. Now more like 35 surfers spread across the Middle section of reef, and another 20+ surfing knee to waist high plus waves on Airport Left.
Currently at 11.00AM we have a mostly fine and sunny day with the outside temperature of 29 degree’s celsius and the humidity down to 66%. The wind has swung further around and now clean and tidy @ 17kms coming out of the East.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 0.8mtr Low @ 7.30AM and then filling back in with a 2.3mtr High around the 1.00PM mark.
Swell predictions for this week are not showing any more solid swell to arrive until later next Saturday. In the mean time It’s going to be smallish but at least we will have waves. Not too mention plenty of sun & fun to fill in any gaps.
