****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy folks and thanks for hanging around for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the only place for a surfing holiday worth the plane fare, Bali.
Apology Dept: Sorry to anyone who has sent through an email via our “contact” links over the last 3 days as we have had a technical problem we hope to have sorted out by tomorrow. PLEASE re send to <[email protected]> for now anyway.
Ok surfers I’m going to try and keep this brief for now as we are heading out for a feed of sushimi very shortly. This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing plenty of swell hitting between Kuta Reef and Airport Left, ranging between head and double head high. The tide was still running out at the time (6.30AM) and the wind was coming out of the WSW @ 3-6kms.
We held off for the tide to bottom out and hoping for the wind to tidy up and maybe swing back the ESE before making our way down to the southern end of the island to Balangan. As you’ve already seen in today’s photo gallery there was also still enough swell down there but the wind wouldn’t cooperate, staying on shore out of the WSW through until we packed up around 2.00PM. Crowd wise it was pretty sedate for the now ever popular Balangan beach with only around 25 surfers in the water at first. But by midday there would have been close to 55+ and no shortage of the new Russian surfers.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.8mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then running back in for a 2.2mtr High around 2.PM.
Weather wise it was a mainly hot and sunny day here on the holiday island with the temperature peaking between 30 – 32 degree’s Celsius.
