****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Howdy friends and welcome back to the first and foremost original Bali surf report baliwaves.com (’99). For today’s latest on surfing and weather conditions from here on the ever friendly little tropical holiday island of Bali.
Another round of applause for our friends at HENDRA SURFING PHOTOGRAPHY down at Uluwatu, for delivering these photos of the low tide Racetrack section of Uluwatu doing it’s thing yesterday afternoon.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still showing enough swell for waves on all of the main sections. The tide was filling in fast heading for a 2.3mtr High scheduled at 9.00AM. So the best waves were happening on Kuta Reef with chest to head high plus set waves wrapping down the reef. Airport Left was also breaking in the chest to over head range. And I’m sure there would have also been plenty of takers around the other side of the runway on Airport Right. Middle Reef will be at it’s best when the tide starts draining out.
We might even take a run down to the Southern end of the island later this afternoon to see if the Racetrack puts on a repeat performance.
The next Low tide will be 0.4mtr’s @ 3.30PM. Tomorrow has a New Moon rising so we will be back to large tidal differences over the next week.
Weather wise outside as I type (10.25AM) the temperature is currently 29 degree’s Celsius with a mainly clear blue sky, Humidity is 79%. Wind direction is coming lightly out of the East @ 11kmph.
Ok buckle up and get ready as we are expecting some solid swell out on the reefs in the next 24hrs.
News in from the G-Land Surf Camp this morning (7.45AM East Java) was calling solid head to double head high plus waves hitting the bottom end of Money Tree’s and the Pad. Speedy’s also had a few sly ones breaking. Only 4 surfers riding the Launching Pad getting some nice rides at the time.
We’ve also got some new surfing / accommodation packages sorted out for those of you who want nothing more to think about except surfing, at the right place at the right time. Hit this info link to find out more.
Good news for any of you that want to get over to the legendary location of G-Land this year as baliwaves.com will still be dishing out a solid 15% discount off their advertised prices for the G-Land Surf Camp. All camps at G-Land will be re opening in March 2011 so if you want some un crowded G-Land get in early. Make sure you contact us first if you want that 15% rebate back in your pocket.
We’ve also been playing around with our “Surf Spots” page where we are currently up-dating with more locations, and an extra bonus of Bali street maps. So go and get yourself lost in there !
Best Regards from Bali
