****AFTERNOON SURF UP-DATE****
Hello surfers and welcome back to your baliwaves (’99) for the very latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on everybody’s favorite surfing holiday island called Bali.
Well this mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was still showing some waves hanging in there at waist to head high between Kuta Reef and Airport left. Surfing conditions were fairly clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the NNE. At the time we had an outside temperature of 24 degree’s Celsius and the humidity on 83%.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery I’ve loaded up for ya’s we were back down at Bali’s premier surfing location of Uluwatu. We arrived as the tide was starting to run back in to find wave height in the head to over head range with the occasional freak double head high set waves. No shortage of surfers from all the way down in front of the Temple to back up to the Main Peak. Looking like everybody was chasing the last bit of size and power from this fading swell. But still the odd good peak hitting the Peak, it was around 1.00PM with the approaching high tide and the wind shifting a bit more to the SSE that we packed it up.
Driving back home past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there looked to be a surf school on the top end of Impossible Reef enjoying waves in the knee to almost waist high range. Pretty well flat over on Padang Padang with the tide filling back in at that stage.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.9mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then running back in for a 2.1mtr High @ 2.00PM.
Weather wise outside right now at 5.00PM we have a mainly blue sky, temperature wise it’s still a warm 29 degree’s Celsius with the humidity on 60%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 21kms.
