****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping in to see what we’ve been up to today surf and weather wise here on the undisputed best value for surfing holiday dollar (Aussies) destination of Bali.
This mornings (6.45AM) mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs here in down town Tuban was showing wave height down into the 2-4ft range, or chest to over head high between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. At the time the wind was coming out of the NE @ 3kms, the outside temperature a nice 25 degree’s Celsius and the Humidity sitting on 95%. There was already surfers out on all 3 of the main sections with Kuta Reef peeling off some nice rides.
We also knew that we were expecting a new and bigger swell arriving today, according to the swell predictions it wasn’t supposed to be showing until late this afternoon. But but the time we arrived down at Uluwatu there were already some solid double head high set waves hitting the Main Peak and running off down through the Racetrack section. By 10.30AM and with the tide pushing in we were starting to see waves in the triple head high plus zone on the Peak. We hung out down in the relative comfort of the cliff side cafe until 2.15PM and the wind was still light and variable, never really turning off shore for longer than a few minutes. All the same as you’ve seen in today’s 57 strong photo gallery I snapped off surfing conditions were still clean and smooth all day.
Tidal info for today had us scheduled in for a 1.0mtr Low @ 8.30AM and then running back in for a 2.0mtr High around the 3.00PM mark.
Weather wise right now at 5.30PM (been another long day) the wind has settled back into the off shore SE @ 14kms, the outside temperature is still a warm 30 degree’s Celsius and the Humidity backed off to 66%.
The news in from the G-Land Surf Camp was calling head to double head high waves hitting G-Land this morning @ 7.00AM East Java time. More West in today’s swell direction with the best waves on Kong’s and Money Tree’s. A total of 5 surfers in the water at the time of this report.
