****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello again my friends and welcome back for today’s wrap up on surfing and weather conditions. As it shows in this latest batch of photos we decided on taking our chances and heading back down to Balangan. No complaints, when we arrived at 10.00AM it was still just a touch too fat. But as the tide started to drop it was shaping up nicely, and with a slowly increasing wave height factor. A little more crowded down there today with around 50 surfers scattered from the point and down through the middle.
I also think it’s time for a change in location tomorrow, so make sure you drop in again.
Temperature wise now @ 4.30PM the mercury is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, humidity on 66%. The wind is strong out of the E – SE @ 12 – 15knot+.
****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on everybody’s favorite surfing holiday destination of Bali.
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was still only showing wave height to be breaking in the waist to head high range with the very occassional slightly bigger one. With the tide still running in for a solid 2.4mtr High scheduled for 9.00AM. Kuta Reef was looking the best out of the big 3 with waist to head high set waves. No shortage of early risers out there either with my head count picking up at least 30 surfers already on it. Middle Reef was already starting to look to full and closing out, around 15 surfers out there. Airport left wasn’t picking up as much size, still only waist the chest high at best.
Surfing conditions were still clean enough with the wind off shore, coming out of the E-SE with gusts of up to 12knot.
We plan on letting the High tide pass before we head south in search of better waves and conditions. So tune back in later this afternoon for a full run down and new photo gallery.
The next Low tide today will be 0.3mtr Low @ 3.30PM. Today also has a New Moon rising, so we will be seeing some big tidal ranges coinciding with some big waves starting tomorrow.
Weather wise we have a nice looking day coming on with plenty of blue sky out there. Currently right now @ 8.30AM the outside temperature is sitting on 26 degree’s Celsius and the humidity on 75%.
Traffic Up Date; Well the silly season (high season) is already apon us here in Bali. With a combination of international and domestic school holidays the traffic in and out of the Kuta to Seminyak area is total kaos. Starting from around 2.00PM and running through until 9.00PM. I went into town the night before last and even riding my motor cycle the traffic was insane.
