****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello to everyone tuning into the baliwaves (’99) for the latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on happy little holiday island of Bali.
This morning we had already made our plans and were in the car heading for Canggu just after sun rise. Counting on a continuation of that early Northerly wind and enough swell to get the job done. At 6.45AM surfing conditions were perfect with clean off shore wind out of the North @ 7 – 10kms and with some nice fun sized 2-3 footers breaking on the right hand river mouth and the left hand sand bar. There were already around 15 surfers on the right hander, zero riding the sand bar.
Just around the top of this mornings high tide we did start to get a pulse of slightly bigger set waves, now 25 on the right and 15 on the sand bar. Surfing conditions remained perfect through until 10.15AM when the ESE-SE Tradewind kicked in.
Tidal info for today had a 2.3mtr High @ 8.30AM and then running back out for a 0.4mtr Low @ 3.00PM. Full Moon rising tomorrow night.
Weather wise here in Bali nothing but blue sky and sun shine for the beach people. Temperature wise right now @ 2.30PM we have 28 degree’s Celsius and the Humidity on 70%. The wind is coming out of the SE @ 28kms.
We also had a surf up date from an old friend staying over at Lakey Peak on the island of Sumbawa calling in wave height hitting The Peak in the waist to head high class. Numbers seem to be down over there with only 100 international visitors in the area.
