****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi everyone and thanks for calling by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest on surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendliest of all the surfing holiday destinations, Bali.
This morning there was no time for the usual surf check on the Outer Reefs, no sir. We were out on the highway and heading NW by 4.45AM to Balian. But before I go any further and before anyone goes “stop giving away my secret surfing location”. Let me tell you that this place has been on the map and in every guide book and every surfing related website for a long long time. Even today there was 2 German surf schools turn up…
But we were the first ones on the scene arriving at 6.15AM. No surfers in the water with wave height a nice fun sized chest to well over head (2-4ft). Surfing conditions couldn’t have been too much better with a clean off shore Northerly blowing up to 8knot. But by 10.00AM it was just about all over when the Tradewind kicked in with gusts up to 20knot. By that time there would have been close to 30 surfers in the water.
Tidal info for today had a 0.6mtr Low @ 8.00Am and then filling back in with a 2.1mtr High @ 2.00PM.
Weather wise this morning up at Balian it was one of the coolest I’d felt for a while (here in Bali anyway). Even though it was pretty well blue sky through until 11.00AM. But looking back towards Kuta and it looked like it was raining all the way down to Uluwatu. Right now @ 3.15PM the outside temperature is sitting on 28 degree’s Celsius, Humidity on 70%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 20knot.
Changing dollars to Rupiah up on the streets of Legian you’ll find that 1AU$=Rp9,145.
For any of you that just want nothing more than a hassle free, get up and go surf perfect waves every morning, see and do what the hotel / resort sect don’t. Well we have some new surfing / accommodation packages that will have you at the right location at the right time everyday. All deals include your own photographer at no extra cost. Hit this info link to find out more.
Feel free to contact us via email about your next trip to Bali and we might just be able to help make it run a little smoother for you.
Best Regards from Bali
