****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hello crew and thanks for calling by the baliwaves.com (’99) for the latest on surfing and weather conditions (1 click) from right here on the No.1 wave riddled surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok we had another long day yesterday so apologies for the late mail, but all is good and here’s the 63 strong photo gallery from Bingin, Impossible’s and of course the famous low tide tube riding section of Uluwatu’s Racetrack. We’d also like to give Rob at “Suara Ombak” a big thank you for allowing the baliwaves team access to his fantastic Villa location over looking Bingin and Impossible’s.
As far as yesterday’s waves go I’ll just let these current photos do the talking. This morning’s 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban wasn’t looking as good as yesterday with wave height having dropped back down in to the 1-3ft range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No shortage of paddler’s out there either with at least 30 surfers sitting on Kuta Reef waiting for the waist to chest high set waves. Another 15+ riding at Middle Reef with some slightly bigger set waves. While Airport Left had 10 – 15 surfers on it’s line up with waist to waist high plus waves.
Surfing conditions out there this morning were very clean and tidy with the ESE-SE off shore wind fanning the waves @ 5-9knot. I’m certain that as the day burns the wind will jack up into the 15-20knot class.
Tidal info for today has us down for a 2.2mtr High around the 9.30AM mark and then running out hard for a 0.3mtr Low @ 4.00PM. The next New Moon with be rising on the 30th of July so tidal ranges will be improving over the next 7 days.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to our good friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height hitting Kong’s down to the launching Pad in the head to well over head range. At 7.30AM East Java time there were only 2 surfers in the water on Money Tree’s. Now is the time to get over to G-land ! Low numbers in all camps and perfect waves, contact us at baliwaves.com if you would like a cash back discount at the G-Land Surf Camp.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets on Kuta (Bemo Corner); — 1AU$=Rp9,350 — How’s that for the holiday dollar value !
Weather wise this morning we have had one heavy rain down pour that lasted for at least 10 minutes. Right now @ 9.15AM the outside temperature is sitting on 26 degree’s Celsius, Humidity on 80%. Wind direction is coming out of the SE @ 12knot.
