****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for hanging around the baliwaves.com (’99) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions, from, you know where, Bali.
Ok so like I mentioned earlier this morning wave height on the Outer Reefs at 6.45AM was still only coming through in the waist to shoulder high sector, and maybe just the odd slightly bigger set wave hitting Middle Reef. So we thought we’d roll down to Uluwatu and hopefully score a little better size and power. On our way down south driving past Impossible’s wave height was still only hitting the 1-1ft+ class, so we were at least assured of seeing Uluwatu in the head high range.
But as it show’s in today’s gallery, by the time we parked the car and down into the warung wave height had jumped into the head to double head high class. In fact World class waves was what Uluwatu was delivering this morning. From the Temple section down to the Main Peak it was perfection in abundance, pure and simple as that.
Tidal info for today had us marked for a 0.5mtr Low @ 8.00AM and then filling back in with a 2.2mtr High around the 2.00PM mark.
Weather wise it was pure holidays, blue sky and sunshine with the midday temperature hitting 30 degree’s. Wind direction was coming straight off-shore out of the East through until about 2.00Pm when it turned a little more to the S.E with gusts up to 12-15knot+.
This mornings G-Land Surf Report was also calling in wave height at over head to double head high. The best waves were hitting Money Tree’s and the Launching Pad. Clean off-shore wind and low numbers scattered down the reef.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta (Bemo Corner) today was offering — 1AU$=Rp9,100 —
