****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves.com (’99) for the absolute latest on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the holiday island that’s absolutely crammed full of perfect waves, Bali.
This morning I didn’t get a chance for the early morning surf check (I kinda had a fair idea there was going to be a lot of water moving) as I’d promised the lads an early morning surf trip to a very pretty location over on the East Coast of Bali. I hadn’t been up there for quite a few years but knew these current conditions would suit it just right. It had been that long, that I had contemplated making my guests where blind folds. But no need as there was no shortage of surfers also with the same idea as us. We arrived around the 6.45AM mark to find clean and glassy waves in the head to well over head mark and only 1 other surfer making his way into the water. With the tide filling in fast it wasn’t that long and there were 29 surfers out there. But no shortage of waves for all in the super consistent right handers.
While I headed East Ketut was making his way down to Padang Padang to try and capture another session like the previous. With the extra size and an early morning variable wind conditions it was not quite to be. Even so there were some solid waves and some solid pits for the 20 surfers in the water at 7.30AM.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.3mtr Low @ 7.00AM and then rushing back up for a 2.3mtr High @ 1.00PM.
Weather wise here on the West Coast this morning there it was a mixture of cloud and sunshine before clearing up after lunch for a hot old afternoon. Pretty similar over on the East Coast but a little less cloud. Temperature wise the mercury would have been maxing at 29 degree’s Celsius.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report thanks to our friends at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be in the solid 6-8ft class. With best waves shaping up on the Launching Pad and down through Speedies.
Don’t forget to drop us a line if any of you would like a solid discount off your next trip into the G-Land Surf Camp.
