****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (’99) for the latest and greatest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Ok this mornings 6.20AM surf recon of the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing an increase in wave height with some semi solid head to well over head waves breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were already clean and tidy with the off shore SE Tradewind blowing hard all night.
My crew were hoping for some more Uluwatu Racetrack action so that’s where were headed to. At first glimpse wave height down at Ulu was only showing in the head to almost double head class. But it didn’t take long before there were some solid 6 footers hitting the Bombie and outside Racetrack sections on the bottom of the Low tide. The Racetrack section did spin off a few sly barrels but mainly closing out. Crowd wise I don’t know where everyone was today with the crowd averaging in the 25 – 30 mark. Surfing conditions at Uluwatu today were testy to say the least with that SE Tradewind gusting into the 20knot+ sector.
Yesterday while we were on location at Bingin I bumped into one of my old local surf photographer friends and starting pretty soon he’ll be dropping us off a daily batch of photos from Bingin to add to the baliwaves. We are also still working on something else rather special for you our viewers and supporters and it shouldn’t be too much longer to find out what it is.
Tidal info for today had us down for a 0.8mtr Low around the 10.30Am mark and then running back up for a no range 1.4mtr High @ 4.00PM.
Weather wise again today it’s been just a typical hot and sunny day here on the holiday island. Temperature wise right now @ 4.30PM we are currently sitting on 27 degree’s Celsius, humidity level @ 70%. Wind direction is coming hard out of the SE @ 17 – 20knot.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from our friends over on location at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling wave height to be in the over head to double over head class. The best waves were breaking from Kongs right down through to the bottom of Money Tree’s. Don’t forget to drop us a line if any of you would like a solid discount off your next trip into the G-Land Surf Camp.
