Oakley Indonesia is proud to announce that, out of the 32 competitors, Ida Bagus Simarai and Dharmaputra Tonjo will receive wildcards to represent Indonesia in the upcoming Oakley World Pro Junior to be held in Bali, Indonesia this October.
“It’s beyond words and my wildest expectations, to be able to represent my country in this international Oakley World Pro Junior event. I will do my uttermost best, I’m in it for the win!” said the 20 year old Ida Bagus Simarai from Kuta, who won the Oakley Pro Junior 2011, held at Canggu Beach last weekend.
Darmaputra Tonjo, the surfer who scored the highest ranking points in ISC Pro Junior category, says: “I am really so stoked and proud to have this opportunity! I see it as my responsibility to win for my country and the island I am representing”.
The Oakley World Pro Junior Bali is the 1st stop of the ASP World Junior Tour and will take place over a 12-day waiting period between the 3rd and 14th of October. With the World’s top under 21 surfers set to descend on Bali, the limits of what is considered possible on a surfboard will be pushed like no other event.
