****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello once again to all you surfers tuning into the baliwaves (’99) for your daily dose of surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for surfing holiday dollar island of Bali.
This mornings surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height in the waist to head high range with maybe the occasional bigger freak set hitting Middle Reef. Surfing conditions at 6.45AM were clean as it gets with a light off shore South Easterly wind. Plenty of surfers already in the water on all 3 main sections with the tide heading towards the top end.
Seeing as though I was hoping to get some decent photos to show ya’s today I headed down to the Southern end of the island to Uluwatu. With the tide now just starting to fall wave height at Uluwatu was a head to almost double over head with the wind still clean off shore. There was something like 14 surfers up on Temple’s and then at least 45 surfers spread from The Peak down to the top end of the Racetrack. I hung out down at Ulu hoping that the Racetrack would start to work with the now quickly falling tide. But by this time the wind was also starting to favor the SSE a little more so I packed it up.
Riding home over the bridge past Padang Padang and Impossible’s there was a 1-2 footer running down the top end of Impossible’s. While Padang Padang was looking pretty dormant. Hopefully we’ll see a little more swell arriving on our reefs here in Bali tomorrow so stay tuned to the original Bali surf report.
Weather wise this morning there was a lot of small cloud drifting over. Every time the sun did shine through it was hot and strong. Currently right now at 2.00PM the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius with the humidity on 66%. Wind direction is now coming out of the SE @ 12-14knot+.
Changing dollars to Rupiah on the streets of Kuta you’ll find the Aussie dollar is back over the Rp9,000 mark.
Today’s G-Land Surf Report from our friends over at the G-Land Surf Camp was calling in wave height to be in the solid head to double head high sector. With the best waves hitting Kongs and all the way down through to the bottom of the launch Pad. At 9.30AM East Java time there were 10 surfers in the water getting more than the average share of waves.
