****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Howdy crew and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves.com (’99) for the start of another big surfing week. Not too mention the latest news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the friendly little holiday island of Bali.
Starting off with our mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs at 6.30AM to find wave height still showing in the head to almost double head high range between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. With the tide still running in Middle Reef had the best waves and there was at least half a dozen surfers out there getting some nice waves. Surfing conditions were clean with the SE Tradewind blowing straight off shore up to 10knot.
As it shows in today’s photo gallery we were down on the Southern end of the island back at Bali’s Premier surfing location of Uluwatu. At 9.30AM wave height was hitting the Main Peak and Temple sections in the solid head to double head high class with around 60 surfer spread through the entire line up. Surfing conditions at Ulu as you’ve seen were also pretty clean but the wind was building up more momentum towards midday. As the tide started it’s run back out the Racetrack section was starting to show some promise of good things to come.
We do have the Full Moon rising tonight so we are going to be seeing some big tidal ranges over the next few days. And it looks like wave height shouldn’t vary to differently over the next day or two.
Weather wise it was a cloudy and grey morning down on the bukit at Uluwatu, it wasn’t until 11.00AM that we started to get some sunny breaks. Top midday temperature would have been around the 29 degree Celsius mark. Outside right now the wind is holing out of the SE @ 16-20knot+.
