****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and a big welcome back to the baliwaves ’99, for the start of another surfing week and today’s news on the waves and weather here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday island destination of Bali.
Pretty well much as expected this mornings at 6.30AM the Outer Reefs had wave height still in the head to double head high plus plus sector. The tide was still running out at the time, so it was looking wild. But with the promise of some Kuta Reef action on the run up tide. As it shows in the first section of today’s photo gallery we did hang out a bit longer to give the tide a chance to start running in. When the lads jumped of the reef taxi there were only 6 other surfers on Kuta Reef with some super clean waves (still the odd double suck). But as the tide kept filling in so did the number of surfers jump to between 40 – 50, it was obvious that the set waves were getting bigger and by 11.30AM it was no longer wrapping around the reef. Kinda just going past, certainly good while it lasted.
The second half of today’s gallery featuring the ever mechanical waves of Bingin, is thanks to our friends at ESP located in Julies Warung at Bingin Beach.
Surfing conditions have been perfect all day with a light to medium strength off shore SE wind.
Tidal info for today had a 0.2mtr Low @ 7.00Am and then a 1.9mtr High @ 1.00PM
Weather wise it’s been hot and sunny with some short lived cloud patches from time to time. Temperature wise the mercury would have easily busted through too 30 degree’s Celsius.
