****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves ’99 for the latest news on todays surfing and weather conditions from here on the friendliest little holiday island of Bali.
This mornings mandatory surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing wave height to have backed off another notch, down into the waist to chest high plus sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy with the wind coming lightly out of the North at 2knot. That was at 6.30AM, shortly there after the wind started to tend more to the West and then further to the South West and that was all she wrote. Hopefully tomorow morning we’ll get some more light wind conditions as we’ve got a little surf expedition planned.
Tidal information for today had a 1.7mtr High @ 6.30AM and then running out to a 0.8mtr Low around the 12.30PM mark.
Weather wise today it’s been a bit of a shocker with cloud cover from sun up to sun set. Temperature wise the mercury still made it to a warm and humid 27 degree’s Celsius even though there was a couple of brief showers of rain.
Swell predictions for the next 7 days are showing small waves for the rest of the weekend and then a small pulse around Tuesday. Later in the week we should see a solid swell showing starting on Friday and peaking through next weekend.
Today’s photo gallery is another combination from Uluwatu that we shot yesterday afternoon and some more photos from our friends at ESP located in “Julies Warung” down at Bingin beach.
I didn’t get a chance to check out the exchange rates today but hopefully we’ll get those covered for you in tomorrows surf report.
For those who want the latest info on the Oakley Pro Junior make sure you log into www.isctour.com And don’t miss out this weekend at Kuta Beach for the RipCurl surf & music classic for a huge line up of events scheduled through out the weekend.
