****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to the baliwaves ’99 for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for holiday dollar tropical island paradise of Bali.
Back to basics and this mornings 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing the tide had just passed through the bottom of a reef exposing 0.1mtr Low (7.00AM). Unfortunately no change in wave height with only knee high waves breaking almost directly onto the reef. No surfers in the water between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. And it would be a safe bet to predict that as the tide rolls back in for the expected 1.9mtr High at 1.00PM it will be flat as a lake out there. I think, it’s currently day 8 or 9 of this low/no wave dilema we are going through.
But still Ketut hit the road for Uluwatu at 7.00AM this morning with the camera equipment. You know that even though the surf is pretty damn small it’s a rare day that there’s not a little something breaking on Bali’s Premier surfing location. So we’ll check out Ketut’s photos later this evening.
In the mean time here’s those 100+ photos from the final Padang Padang instalment, shot by Hendra Surf Photography on our last solid swell a couple of weeks ago.
Weather wise this morning we got off to a nice start with a blue sky and light off shore wind coming out of the SE. But now at 8.45AM there’s a lot more cloud now in the equation and a few drops of rain have fell. Temperature we have a current 27 degree’s Celsius and heading for a high of 29 C, Humidity level @ 89%. Wind direction is East @ 3knot. Sunrise @ 5.50Am and will set @ 6.15PM.
For the surfer / fisho’s amoungst you I managed to snap a few photos from the Kuta Beach Fishing Tournament that was held yesterday so as soon as I get a minute I’ll give ya’s the run down on what we got up to.
Ok now you can go and take another look back through the Padang Padang photos, I’ll catch ya’s again shortly.
