****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (’99) for today’s Sunday Session and the latest and greatest news on surfing and weather conditions from here on the tropical paradise holiday island of Bali.
This mornings 6.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs was showing a solid increase in size between Kuta Reef and Airport left, with wave height now in the head to double head high sector. Compared to yesterday’s knee to chest high height. The tide at the time was still heading for a 0.2mtr Low tide so most of the reef was pretty well exposed. Way too shallow for Kuta Reef or Airport Left / Right. Middle Reef which is the deepest reef and better suited to the low tide was closing out.
Surfing conditions then were clean and glassy with only the slightest taint of on shore wind coming out of the West.
The next High Tide will be 2.0mtrs around the 1.30PM mark.
Weather wise right now @ 9.30AM the outisde temperature is a warm 27 degree’s Celsius with the humidity on 70%. Wind direction is now coming out of the SE @ 10-14knt.
Today’s Uluwatu Local Surfers feature was delivered to us from our friends at Hendra Surf Photography located right in front of the steps leading down to the cave entrance at Uluwatu.
This mornings Balian surf report was calling wave height to be hitting the A frame left and right river mouth peak in the solid double to double head high plus. Surfing conditions were clean and glassy @ 7.30AM and the boys were expecting surfing conditions to improve on the in coming tide.

G-Land Up Date: “Slim, been in the jungle for the last 5 weeks. Had a great time with your guests from Oahu, Hawaii. Fished and Sashimi for us each night.( 3 older guys.) Great guys !! We need more people like this over there. Enough of the mindless arrogant surf stars and their jet ski’s tearing thru the g-land lineup and threating surfers who wave them off out of the line-up.
A cold water current brought some of the best fishing I’ve seen over thre for years. Landed G.T.s in upwards of 80 lbs. Did a explority mission and found some incredible new spots to fish off the reef” Michael O.
