****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and a big welcome back to your baliwaves ’99 for the latest and greatest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the always “in season” surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Ok as you may have noticed in today’s 80 strong photo gallery that we snapped off down at Uluwatu late yesterday afternoon that it was pumping. Pumping through the stuff that keeps drawing surfers to Bali, the Racetrack tube rides.
Back to the present and this mornings 7.30AM surf check on the Outer Reefs of Tuban had some nice fun sized waves breaking in the waist to head high class (2-3ft) between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. Clean and glassy surfing conditions at the time with no wind present.
Looking for a wave today, I’d be heading back down to Bali’s Premier location of Uluwatu for the best size and power available.
Tidal info for today has us down with a 0.0mtr Low tide @ 6.00AM then running up for a 2.0mtr High at midday and finishing off the days cycle with another 0.6mtr Low around the 6.00PM mark.
Weather wise we had an overcast start to the day, remnants of last nights rain. But not at 10.45AM the sun is powering up again with the temperature sitting on 30 degree’s Celsius. Wind direction is now coming lightly out of the East @ 2-4knot. Sunrise was at 5.49Am and will sink at 6.24PM. More cooling rain forecasted for later tonight.
I’ve got another short video clip with a couple of nice tube rides that went down at Bingin (’08) ready to load up onto the baliwaves so that should be on line later today and worth a look.
Thanks for taking the time to see what we have going on, I’m thinking it would be good to have another camera (Cannon 7D) so we can shoot photos and video clips everytime we are on the road. So if anyone could lend a helping hand in the aquisitioning of such apparatus please drop us a line and we’ll tell you how to contribute. Any amount you could spare will help big time, we’ll pick up the rest.
But what’s in it for me, you might ask, well besides baliwaves.com continuing to provide (even) higher quality photos for everyone and possibly truck loads of video clips (7D). I’m even giving you the chance to pick up a brand new (never ridden) 6′ 7″ custom made DIVERSE surfboard that can be collected here in Bali. This board is valued at over AU$700.00 Plus a couple of other nice little gifts as well (G-Land trip / Bali accommodation). Hit this link for the details.
