****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hello surfers and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves ’99 for today’s run down on surfing and weather conditions from here on the surfer friendly holiday island of Bali.
This new photo gallery was shot late yesterday afternoon when we decided to double up for a double surf session. Our plans were going good, arriving at Serangan on Bali’s East side around 3.45PM to find clean little waves in the shoulder to well over head class. It was looking good with the tide running and the wind clwan off shore coming out of the West. But @ 4.00PM *Murphy’s Law kicked in and the wind did an instant swing to the South and took all the gloss and shine off the waves.
This morning’s 6.45AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was looking ugly with wave height dropping back down into the waist to waist high plus sector and the wind still blowing out of the WSW and on shore. I’ve had some running around to do today so I’ve called today a layday. Tomorrow swell predictions are looking better so we’ll be heading out somewhere for the early morning surf. So we should have another fresh batch of steaming hot photos for ya’s then.
Just for the record Tidal Information for today had us down for a 1.6mtr High @ 9.00Am and then running out for a 0.6mtr Low around the 2.30PM mark. We are also approaching the New Moon that will be rising on the 10th.
Today’s Weather report would read, early morning cloud cover burning off by mid morning then heating up for a sizzling 35 degree’s Celsius by 2.00PM. Wind direction is still WSW.
