****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and thanks for stopping by the baliwaves, the original Bali surf report since 1999. With the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from here on the best value for surfing holiday dollar value destination of Bali.
This morning with the wind already pretty fresh out of the West I didn’t bother with a surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban. We were also expecting a new swell to start showing so we headed over to Serangan, at least we knew the wind was right for this location.
As it shows in the photos I snapped off our new swell had well and truelly checked in with some solid double over head plus freak sets. Even though there were a lot of surfers in the water the majority of set waves were going through un ridden. For some reason or another…. there were also at least 10 surf schools in the water, pupils armed with foamy top mini mals. What great conditions to **learn to surf in. There were boards getting thrown left right and center.
We hung out for around 3 hours before a solid mass of black cloud rolled across from Nusa Dua (it looked like it was raining over there most of the morning) and unleashed on us with buckets of rain and on shore southerly wind. But as usual it only lasted for an hour before starting to glass back off again.
Tidal info for today had a 1.9mtr High @ 11.00AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around the 5.00PM mark.
Weather wise we had a mixed bag of conditions from very hot to rain. Here in Tuban now @ 3.00Pm the outside temperature is a sultry 29 degree’s celsius and a chance of more rain later this evening.
Holiday time has hit the roads again here in Bali with plenty of slow moving traffic all around the Kuta to Seminyak area. Be prepared as it will remain with us until after the New Year has well and truelly passed.
