****MORNING SURF UP DATE****
Hi folks and welcome back to your baliwaves (since ’99) for today’s news on surfing and weather conditions from right here on the No.1 tropical surfing holiday destination of Bali.
Alright I’m finally starting to snap out of it and feeling a bit better from the “Aussie Belly” and get back to normal again. Don’t laugh it’s pretty hard changing the diet from Indonesian to Aussie and now back to our delicious Indonesian / Balinese tucker.
This mornings 8.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban was showing wave height to be in the 1-1ft+ range breaking between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No chance of a paddle out there but surfing conditions were clean and glassy with a light WNW wind. Ketut has taken the camera gear and gone for a ride to Legian to see what’s happening on the beach breaks. So we might have a new photo gallery for ya’s later this afternoon.
Tidal information for today had us down for a 1.9mtr High @ 10.00AM and then running out for a 0.7mtr Low around the 4.00PM mark. Today also see’s a Full Moon rising over Bali so expect so solid tidal differences over the next few days.
Weather wise out there this morning there was a bit of light early morning cloud cover but now at 9.15Am it’s mainly blue sky and clear sailing. Right now @ 9.30Am the outside temperature is sitting on 29 degree’s Celsius with the Humidity @ 75%. Wind direction is now North @ 1-2knot. Sunrise @ 6.22AM and will set @ 6.43AM. The beauro is also calling for a big chance of rain and thunderstorms later this evening.
Swell Prediction Dept: According to the No.1 swell predictors for Indonesia (stormsurf.com) it’s not looking too exciting for the remainder of this week with only tiny to small waves across the board. But hopefully starting next Saturday we should see a new system start to show and run through the following week. So there should be plenty of smiles and happy surfers here in Bali.
