****AFTERNOON SURF UP DATE****
Hi Jordy and everyone, and a very big thanks for stopping by the baliwaves (’99) for the latest news on today’s surfing and weather conditions from right here on the only place to stop off on your next surfing holiday, Bali
This mornings 7.00AM surf check on the Outer Reefs here in Tuban had wave height in the 2-2ft+ sector between Kuta Reef and Airport Left. No surfers in the water at the time and mainly because it was mostly an on shore mess. Wind direction was out of the WNW @ 5-7knot. And predicted to turn more to the straight North just after midday.
So as it shows in today’s photo gallery we NW to Canggu. We waited for the tide to pass the peak of the high arriving around midday to find surfing conditions still a little un organized but breaking consistently in the 2-3ft+ sector on the right hand river mouth section. It was getting close to 1.30PM before the wind finally shifted back to the North and clean off shore. It was also a nice surprise to find one the top ranked professional surfers by the name of Mr J. Smith turning and putting on a fine show for the spectators. Weather wise it the worst possible conditions from a photographers perspective. Consistently overcast with intermittent rain and drizzle while we were on the scene.
Ok forgive me if you can it’s been another long day for Slim so I’m outta here for now but never the less we’ll be back out their on the wave hunt again tomorrow so take care and see ya’s then.
